ProSiebenSat.1 and Telekom expand MagentaTV, Joyn and addressable TV partnership

February 5, 2026 10.55 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

ProSiebenSat.1 and Deutsche Telekom have agreed a new long-term cooperation that secures the distribution of all ProSiebenSat.1 content on MagentaTV, deepens ties around streaming service Joyn, and extends their partnership in addressable TV advertising.

The expanded agreement builds on an existing partnership covering the carriage of the German broadcaster’s linear TV channels and cooperation in advertising and addressable TV. It adds a closer commercial and product relationship around Joyn and its paid tier Joyn Plus+, alongside the continued distribution of the broadcaster’s full free-to-air and pay-TV portfolio on MagentaTV.

Joyn is positioned as a central element of the new deal. Since the turn of 2025/26, MagentaTV customers have been able to subscribe to Joyn Plus+ directly via Telekom, benefiting from a discounted 12-month offer. According to the partners, the cooperation around Joyn will be further developed over the term of the agreement. Ad-funded Joyn content has been integrated into the MagentaTV environment since 2024, allowing viewers to discover and access it directly through the MagentaTV user interface.

Joyn Plus+ adds previews ahead of linear transmission and exclusive content. Titles highlighted include Sat.1 series Die Landarztpraxis, ProSieben show Wer stiehlt mir die Show?, long-running music format The Voice of Germany, comedy title Frier & 50 starring Annette Frier, and reality formats such as Forsthaus Rampensau Germany and The Power.

The agreement also continues the partners’ long-standing cooperation on linear distribution. MagentaTV customers can watch all ProSiebenSat.1 free and pay-TV channels in SD and HD live and on demand, both at home and on the move. Platform features such as instant restart, pause and recording remain available.

In parallel, Telekom and ProSiebenSat.1 are extending their cooperation in sales and advertising. ProSiebenSat.1’s sales house Seven. One Media will continue to commercialise addressable TV across its own channel portfolio on MagentaTV, with the partners working closely together on the required technology.

“The close cooperation between ProSiebenSat.1 and Telekom beyond the distribution of our linear channels already has a long tradition. Now we are taking this partnership to the next level,” said Nicole Agudo-Berbel, Managing Director and Chief Distribution Officer at ProSiebenSat.1. “As a first step, our SVOD offering Joyn Plus+ can now be booked directly through Telekom. In addition, we are working closely together to market our content on the MagentaTV platform and are continuing to develop this cooperation over the long term. As ProSiebenSat.1, we are thus securing maximum reach for our content and creating innovative sales opportunities for Seven. One Media.”

Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Telekom, added: “At MagentaTV, we offer the best of all TV worlds. The long-term partnership with ProSiebenSat.1 is a strong signal to our customers. Together, we will continue to bring high-quality content and attractive streaming offerings even closer together in the future, making MagentaTV the central entertainment platform – simple, flexible and with maximum variety.”
