
Appear has appointed Simon Frost as chief marketing officer in a newly created role, as the live production technology vendor looks to step up international growth and customer engagement following its November 2025 IPO.
Based in Oslo, the company said Frost brings more than 20 years’ experience in media technology, with senior roles spanning Amazon Web Services, Ericsson and Tandberg Television. Most recently at AWS, he worked with broadcasters, service providers and partners across EMEA on cloud-based media workflows and cloud-first approaches.
Appear CEO Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen said Frost’s blend of strategic insight and customer focus would support the evolution of the portfolio and the company’s expansion plans, while keeping customer-led innovation central.
Frost added Appear had built a reputation in demanding live production environments, and that his focus would be on helping customers innovate and drive efficiencies as the industry balances hardware reliability with cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
