ANGA COM will open its 2026 event in Cologne on Tuesday 19 May with a Gigabit Summit featuring German Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation minister Karsten Wildberger alongside the heads of Vodafone Deutschland, o2 Telefónica Deutschland, Deutsche Glasfaser and NetCologne.
The opening discussion will mark the first ANGA COM appearance of o2 Telefónica Deutschland’s new CEO Santiago Argelich Hesse, who took up the role on 1 January 2026. The panel also includes Marcel de Groot (CEO, Vodafone Deutschland) Timo von Lepel (Managing Director, NetCologne) Andreas Pfisterer (CEO, Deutsche Glasfaser).
Wildberger will also open the show with a keynote, ahead of a conference agenda due to be published in March covering fibre migration, wholesale, streaming, content, advertising markets, competition with Big Tech, open access, consolidation, AI, the Digital Networks Act, digital sovereignty and data centres.
ANGA COM CEO Peter Charissé said the event was “kicking off in top form this year” with four leading industry CEOs taking part in the opening session.
Organisers say 400 exhibitors from 40 countries have already registered for the exhibition, with the show running from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Cologne.
Visitor registration is online-only. Exhibition tickets are priced at €25, conference access starts from €140, and the under-30 “young professionals” ticket is €40. On Thursday 21 May, access to both the exhibition and conference programme will be free of charge, with no on-site ticket counters available during the event.
