TV viewing in Poland edged up in December 2025, with a slight increase driven by linear television during the start of winter and the holiday season.
According to Nielsen’s The Gauge, average daily time spent watching TV was 4 hours 7 minutes, up 2 minutes on November 2025, but almost 5 minutes lower than December 2024 (4 hours 12 minutes).
The month also brought a change among the most-watched linear channels, with TVP2 overtaking TVP1 to join Polsat and TVN at the top of the market. Viewers gravitated towards established formats and seasonal events, including Home Alone on Polsat and New Year’s Eve concerts Sylwestrowa Moc Przebojów (Polsat) and Sylwester z Dwójką (TVP2). M jak Miłość (TVP2) and TVN’s Fakty also remained among the top programmes.
Streaming retained the strong position seen in recent months, with a 10.4% share in December. Within the streaming segment, YouTube was the main gainer, rising to 2.6% from 2.5% in November, while Netflix was stable at 2.1%.
