German production and distribution company Leonine Studios has taken over the DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD home entertainment distribution of Paramount Pictures in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
The agreement, which came into effect in early 2026, covers both new titles and catalogue content from across the Paramount group, including CBS, Showtime, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV.
Under the partnership, Leonine will distribute major Paramount franchises in physical format across the DACH region, among them Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, Sonic the Hedgehog, PAW Patrol, The Godfather, Yellowstone and Dexter. Early highlights in the release schedule include The Running Man, the third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as UHD and collector’s editions of catalogue titles such as Barbarella, The Warriors and Catch Me If You Can.
“We are convinced that, with Leonine, we have an extremely competent and successful partner at our side for the German-speaking markets. We are very much looking forward to the future collaboration and to continuing to supply the physical home entertainment market together with strong and current Paramount titles,” said Michael Meier, Head of Home Entertainment DACH at Paramount.
Bernhard zu Castell, Chief Distribution Officer at Leonine Studios, added: “We are proud to take on responsibility for the physical marketing of Paramount’s exceptional and diverse programme. The portfolio ranges from legendary film classics and top IPs to modern blockbusters and exclusive TV series, including some of the most recognisable brands in the entertainment world. This partnership is a logical next step in strengthening our position as one of the central players in the still strong physical home entertainment sector.”
