TV streaming service waipu.tv has rolled out its app on Titan OS-enabled smart TVs in Germany, extending distribution to another TV operating system.
The integration makes waipu.tv directly accessible at operating system level, allowing viewers to use the service without additional hardware. Users gain access to more than 300 TV channels, including pay-TV and on-demand content, via a single smart-TV interface.
The Titan OS launch follows recent integrations with VIDAA and TiVo, further widening waipu.tv’s availability across connected TV environments and lowering barriers to entry in the living room.
“Our OS partnerships are a key lever for reach and growth,” said Markus Härtenstein, Co-CEO of Exaring, the operator of waipu.tv. “By supporting Titan OS, we are strengthening our presence in another important smart-TV ecosystem and making waipu.tv directly available to even more households.”
Rick Fens, Senior Vice-President Business Development at Titan OS, said the launch underlined the platform’s focus on local and premium entertainment. “Germany is a core market for Titan OS. By integrating the leading German Open-IPTV platform, users get immediate access to live TV, on-demand content and additional TV services directly from the home screen when they switch on their TV.”
According to waipu.tv, broad OS availability increases visibility, reduces friction for users and creates a scalable foundation for further expansion in the German TV streaming market.
Titan OS is positioned as a manufacturer-agnostic smart-TV operating system and adds to waipu.tv’s existing platform footprint, which already includes Samsung, LG, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku TV, web and mobile devices. The service is also available via waipu.tv’s own hardware, including its first- and second-generation sticks and the waipu.tv box.
