Globecast has appointed Chris Pulis as Group Chief Technology Officer, tasking the industry veteran with leading the company’s global technology strategy and investment roadmap as it accelerates a cloud-first transformation.
Pulis joined Globecast in May 2020 and has been leading the technology organisation for Globecast Americas, overseeing operations, engineering, IT, security and facilities, alongside responsibility for the broadcast services portfolio.
A key project under his watch was the design and relocation of Globecast’s US operations to a new facility in Westlake Village, California, as the company shifted from hardware-heavy broadcast workflows towards virtualised and hybrid cloud services.
Before joining Globecast, Pulis held senior technology and operations roles at ESPN and Deluxe Entertainment, and is a patent holder in content security devices and control systems.
Globecast chairman and CEO Philippe Bernard said Pulis has been “instrumental” in advancing the group’s technology vision, positioning him to guide the next phase of its cloud and digital transformation strategy.
