Hoppr names ex-Synamedia executive Olivier Bastard as chief sales officer

January 7, 2026 10.59 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Hoppr has appointed Olivier Bastard as chief sales officer, effective immediately.

Bastard joins the addressable TV and targeted advertising specialist from Synamedia, having previously held roles spanning Cisco and Canal+. He has been working with Hoppr as a consultant since May 2025.

In his new role, Bastard will lead Hoppr’s global commercial strategy, overseeing sales, partnerships and revenue growth as the company targets further expansion in connected TV and programmatic advertising.

Executive chairman George Gelavis said Bastard’s experience at Synamedia and understanding of the global video ecosystem made him well placed to drive the company’s commercial growth as the market moves towards more addressable television advertising.

Bastard said Hoppr’s proposition of delivering targeted advertising without compromising the viewer experience was aligned with market demand.

Hoppr said it closed 2025 with 35 million screens contracted, including partnerships with StarHub and Ooredoo Qatar, and expects to make further announcements during 2026.
