A Liechtenstein court has dismissed an appeal by Polish media tycoon Zygmunt Solorz, clearing the way for control of the foundations that underpin his media and telecoms holdings to pass to his three children.
In a letter filed to Cyfrowy Polsat, the TiVi Foundation said it has been formally served with a judgment of the Princely High Court in Vaduz dated 18 December 2025. The court dismissed Solorz’s appeal in full and upheld the Princely District Court’s 19 May 2025 ruling.
The High Court confirmed that declarations made by Solorz on 2 August 2024 – including a succession declaration and related documents – are legally valid, effective and binding. It also found Solorz “validly transferred” his founder’s rights within the TiVi Foundation to his children, including Tobias Solorz, rejecting arguments advanced in the challenge. The TiVi Foundation said the ruling is final and binding.
The decision matters because TiVi sits at the top of the ownership chain for Cyfrowy Polsat, home to Polsat’s free-to-air channels and pay-TV operations, alongside wider group interests. Bloomberg described the ruling as requiring Solorz to hand over his Polish media empire to his children after losing the appeal.
The family dispute has already driven visible changes inside the listed group. In July 2025, Solorz was removed as chair of Cyfrowy Polsat’s supervisory board, with the company citing management changes communicated via the market.
