Samsung TV Plus has marked its first anniversary in Southeast Asia by announcing the addition of 13 new FAST Channels.
The new line-up includes 10 channels from A+E Global Media and three channels from wedotv, all due to launch in early 2026.
The expansion comes as Samsung reports strong growth for its FAST service in the region. Since its launch a year ago, Samsung TV Plus has increased its channel portfolio to more than 230 channels across Southeast Asia, representing a more than six-fold rise from the initial 20-plus channels per country. According to the company, viewership has grown sharply, with monthly active users up 70% year on year and total viewing hours increasing by 125%.
The 10 A+E Global Media channels will debut first in Singapore and the Philippines. They will feature a mix of reality, factual and documentary programming, including titles such as Ax Men, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Ice Road Truckers, Duck Dynasty and I Survived, alongside science and history-focused content from brands such as Modern Marvels and Evolution Earth.
In parallel, wedotv will launch three channels on Samsung TV Plus in Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand. The offering includes wedotv sports, covering international events such as horse racing, Asian Tour golf and SailGP, wedotv movies, focused on female-skewing film content with local-language subtitles, and Time2rlx, a relaxation channel featuring ambient visuals and music.
Samsung positions the expansion as part of a broader push to capitalise on growing smart TV penetration and rising interest in ad-supported streaming across Southeast Asia.
Beyond international channels, Samsung TV Plus has also increased localisation efforts over the past year, adding region-specific sports and entertainment channels in markets such as the Philippines and Thailand. The company says the platform now reaches more than 12 million unique viewers via over 4.4 million Samsung smart TVs across Southeast Asia.
