Sportdigital Fußball to show Africa Cup live

December 15, 2025 10.07 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German pay-TV channel Sportdigital Fußball will broadcast the 35th Africa Cup live and exclusively, offering football fans 52 matches across 19 days during the festive season.

The continental tournament will be staged in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, with matches scheduled for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for the first time.

The competition brings together 24 national teams playing in nine stadiums across six Moroccan cities. Hosts Morocco will kick off the tournament on 21 December in Rabat, where the final will also be played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on 18 January. Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire will be among the leading contenders, alongside traditional heavyweights such as Egypt, Senegal, Nigeria and Tunisia.

Sportdigital plans comprehensive coverage, deploying 13 commentators across the tournament. Most matches will air on the linear channel Sportdigital Fußball, while additional fixtures, including simultaneous group-stage matches, will be streamed via sportdigital.de and the Sportdigital+ app. The opening match between Morocco and Comoros will also be available free of charge on YouTube and on the FAST Channel scooore.

The Africa Cup is expected to feature many of the continent’s leading players from Europe’s top leagues. Anticipated participants include Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi, Omar Marmoush, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, alongside several Bundesliga-based players such as Ramy Bensebaini, Edmond Tapsoba, Elias Saad and Nicolas Jackson.

“We are offering our viewers exciting matches even on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, featuring a wide range of stars from the Bundesliga and other top European leagues,” said Uli Pingel, Editor-in-Chief at Sportdigital. “I am particularly looking forward to seeing defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, who will also face Germany in the group stage of the World Cup.”
