Poland’s Player is adding a new playlist feature to its VOD service, offering themed, curated streams of content as an alternative to traditional on-demand selection and linear channels.
The TVN Warner Bros. Discovery-owned platform, which was an early adopter of FAST channels in Poland, is positioning playlists as a more personalised, lean-back way to watch, grouping programmes and series into topic-based collections that can be started at any time. Player will initially launch 20 playlists, with more to follow.
From 11 December, playlists are available via web browsers, Hisense Smart TVs and selected LG and Samsung models, appearing in the existing Channels tab. Early examples include strands such as Top Model: Nude Sessions, More than Hotel Paradise, Travels with Makłowicz, Movie Hits, Celebrity Scandals, The Most Interesting Medical Cases and The World Through the Eyes of Poles, alongside a seasonal “Christmas on Player” collection.
Playback resumes where viewers left off, with the option to skip to the next episode within a playlist, blending elements of linear curation with on-demand control.
The feature is being rolled out to all users regardless of package, including those on the free tier, with Player aiming to extend playlist availability to most supported devices in the first quarter of 2026.
