AMC has secured new distribution in Poland after AMC Networks International CNE agreed a carriage deal with Vectra, one of the country’s largest cable operators.
The agreement significantly extends AMC’s reach in the Polish pay-TV market and forms part of AMCNI CNE’s strategy to strengthen its brand across Central and Eastern Europe and broaden its regional affiliate base.
Vectra customers will have access to AMC’s slate of original drama series, including Dark Winds and Interview with the Vampire. The channel is available from the Gold package on channel 331.
Balázs Hajós, Affiliate Sales VP at AMCNI CNE, said the company is continuing to accelerate its European growth through channel portfolio expansion and that the Vectra deal brings AMC’s content to a wider audience in Poland.
Vectra serves more than 1.5 million customers with services including fibre broadband, digital TV, VOD, OTT and telephony. The addition of AMC further bolsters its line-up of film, sports and thematic channels, while strengthening AMC’s positioning among premium entertainment brands in the market.
