Tina Rodriguez takes over Zattoo’s consumer business as Constanze Gilles leaves

December 10, 2025 17.19 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Zattoo is reshaping its leadership team, appointing Tina Rodriguez as Chief Consumer Officer from January 2026 while current head of the consumer business, Constanze Gilles, prepares to leave the TV streaming provider at the end of the year.

Gilles, who joined Zattoo in June 2022 and later added responsibility for Corporate Communications, is exiting Zattoo to pursue new professional opportunities. During her tenure she oversaw several product launches and helped accelerate the sustainable growth of the direct-to-consumer segment. “We thank her sincerely and deeply regret her departure, as we are losing a leader who has made a noticeable impact on Zattoo over the past years,” the company said in a statement.

Rodriguez will take over both the strategic and operational direction of Zattoo’s consumer business as well as Corporate Communications. She will join the management team and report directly to CEO Roger Elsener. Manuel Egli, Director Direct-to-Consumer Switzerland, will report to Rodriguez.

Rodriguez joins Zattoo from Liberty Global, where she most recently served as Vice President Customer Experience. Her previous roles span senior entertainment and customer engagement positions at Sunrise, UPC Switzerland, and Unitymedia in Germany. A business administration graduate, she will work closely with Zattoo’s Product & Technology, Content and Ads teams to advance the company’s growth plans.

“The consumer business is one of Zattoo’s central strategic pillars. I am delighted to welcome Tina Rodriguez, an exceptionally experienced executive, to the Zattoo team. She will drive the consumer segment strategically and operationally and lead it to further growth,” said Elsener. “At the same time, I am very sorry to see Constanze Gilles leave. We valued Constanze greatly as a competent leader, a reliable partner in many strategic matters, and as a colleague who helped shape Zattoo with clear vision, energy, and optimism. I sincerely thank her for her excellent work and strong commitment and wish her all the best and much success for her future personal and professional journey.”

Rodriguez said she is eager to build on Zattoo’s momentum: “Zattoo has always set standards in digital entertainment and is actively shaping the future of television. Strengthening the brand and achieving sustainable growth are exciting challenges. Innovative product development and a consistent focus on user needs are especially motivating for me. I am very much looking forward to contributing my expertise and hands-on experience together with Zattoo’s fantastic team.”

Gilles reflected positively on her time at the company: “After enriching years at Zattoo, I look back with pride at what we have achieved together: through new products, campaigns, strong partnerships, and continuous optimizations for greater efficiency, we have driven the growth of the consumer business. My thanks go to the entire team for their dedication and great team spirit, and to the management for their trust and freedom. I am now looking forward to new challenges – and I wish Zattoo continued success, courage, and enthusiasm.”

Founded in 2005, Zurich-based Zattoo is one of Europe’s largest TV streaming providers, serving several million monthly users across Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The company employs more than 250 people and also operates a global TV-as-a-service business for media companies and network operators.
