Autentic launches new FAST Channel Wheels & Steel

December 9, 2025 11.22 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German media company Autentic has expanded its FAST Channel portfolio with the launch of Wheels & Steel, a new English-language service now available on Samsung TV Plus in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Further launches on additional platforms, including in North America, are planned over the coming months.

Wheels & Steel focuses on heavy machinery, precision engineering and large-scale mechanical power, showcasing everything from mega construction equipment to high-stakes salvage operations. The channel combines programmes from Autentic’s factual distribution catalogue with additional content licensed from German publisher WELT. Key titles include What Went Wrong, Exceptional Engineering, Containership XXL, Salvagemasters and Giant Logistics.

Alongside the new launch, Samsung TV Plus has also extended the availability of Autentic History and Autentic Travel to viewers in the UK and Ireland, following strong audience performance in the Nordics and Benelux. Autentic now operates eight FAST Channels, including Terra Mater WILD and Spiegel TV Konflikte.

Julian Althaus, Director Channels & Digital Sales at Autentic, said: “Built for fans of everything big, loud, and fast, Wheels & Steel is a great addition to our channel slate. We look forward to bringing this high-energy entertainment to even more platforms and territories soon.”

Autentic, part of the Beta Group, specialises in documentaries and factual entertainment through production, distribution and a growing suite of FAST, YouTube and pay-TV channels.
