Sky Showtime expands Portugal distribution

December 3, 2025 11.47 Europe/London By Julian Clover

SkyShowtime has struck a distribution deal with NOS that will take its streaming service into more Portuguese homes from 3 December 2025.

The agreement makes SkyShowtime available across multiple devices for all NOS customers, who will be able to pay for the service on their existing TV bill.

“Our mission with partnerships is to provide the greatest number of viewers with convenient access to our distinctive and extensive selection of entertainment. The collaboration with NOS, one of the leading Portuguese television providers, is a prime example of this objective in action,” said Hristina Georgieva, Chief Business Officer at SkyShowtime.

The launch is being supported by a Christmas promotion, under which NOS clients can select three months of SkyShowtime as their gift via the My NOS app, giving them trial access to the service’s exclusive series, Hollywood films and local originals. The line-up includes series such as Landman, MobLand, The Day of the Jackal, Tulsa King, Dexter: Resurrection and The Paper, alongside blockbusters including Gladiator II, Wicked, Nosferatu, How to Train Your Dragon and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

Adriano Duarte Neves, Central Director of TV Content at NOS, said the integration “represents another step in strengthening our premium entertainment offering,” promising access to “the best stories and productions in the world” through a unified, multi-platform experience. SkyShowtime’s regional GM for Iberia, Raquel Berzosa, added that the service “offers something for everyone” and that partnering with NOS will bring its entertainment line-up “to even more homes across the country.”
