
Canal+ and StudioCanal have confirmed Dorota Eberhardt has formally taken up her role as CEO of Kino Świat, their Polish distribution affiliate, effective 1 December 2025.
She reports to Alex Hamilton, StudioCanal’s Chief International Officer.
Kino Świat is one of Poland’s leading film distributors, active across cinema, VOD, television and home entertainment, as well as in the production and co-production of local titles. Its 2025 slate in Polish cinemas includes Franz Kafka – Poland’s submission for the 2026 Academy Award for Best International Feature Film – Sex for Dummies, Attack on Pope, The Traveling Dog 2 and We Live in Time.
Founder Tomasz Karczewski is stepping down from the Management Board and has left the company after 25 years. The board now comprises Eberhardt as President, alongside vice presidents Marta Pałucka, responsible for financial affairs, and Marcin Piasecki.
Canal+ Polska CEO Edyta Sadowska said Eberhardt brought a deep understanding of the global film landscape. “We believe her leadership and industry knowledge will strengthen our position both locally and abroad, helping us reach new audiences and build long-term value”.
