Accedo and Magine Pro are combining their SaaS streaming operations into a new jointly owned company focused on OTT platforms.
The deal will carve out Accedo’s Accedo One unit and Magine Pro’s SaaS business and merge them into what the partners describe as a global leader in SaaS solutions for OTT streaming.
The new entity will bring together Accedo One’s team and platform with Magine Pro’s technology and customer base, targeting broadcasters and streaming providers looking to scale and monetise OTT services. It will sit outside the Accedo Group, but tap into Accedo’s global network as a key business partner and reseller of its products and solutions.
Markus Hejdenberg, currently CEO of Accedo One, will become CEO of the new company. Magine Pro CEO Matthew Wilkinson will move into the role of Chief Commercial Officer, while Kamal Bherwani is set to chair the board.
Accedo CEO Michael Lantz said the move would allow the combined organisation to concentrate resources on growth and product innovation, while Wilkinson pointed to a maturing streaming market where vendors are under pressure to help clients “build thriving OTT businesses” rather than just deliver technology.
Subject to customary regulatory approvals – which are expected before the end of December 2025 – the joint venture will begin operating later this month from Stockholm, positioning itself as a scale SaaS player for pay-TV, broadcaster and direct-to-consumer streaming customers.
