SkyShowtime joins United Group in Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia

December 1, 2025 11.01 Europe/London By Julian Clover

United Group has added SkyShowtime to its platforms in Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia under a new multi-market carriage deal.

The service is available as an add-on on Telemach in Croatia and Slovenia from today, with Vivacom in Bulgaria to follow from 3 December.

The streaming offer is integrated into United Group’s EON environment, with access via EON set-top boxes, smart TV apps and mobile devices. EON is United Group’s in-house next-generation TV platform, deployed across several Southeast European markets including Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia.

As part of the agreement, two new premium linear channels, SkyShowtime 1 and SkyShowtime 2, are also launching on the platforms, sitting alongside the on demand service. Customers can activate SkyShowtime directly through Vivacom and Telemach self-care apps, with billing handled on the operators’ invoices.

SkyShowtime brings a line-up of Hollywood movies, global series and local originals drawn from across the Comcast and Paramount Skydance portfolios, complementing United Group’s existing pay-TV and streaming offer in the region. The streamer already operates across more than 20 European markets, having completed its phased roll-out in Central and Eastern Europe in 2023.

United Group will market SkyShowtime as a flexible add-on with three subscription tiers – Standard with Ads, Standard and Premium – reflecting the streamer’s wider three-plan structure introduced across its footprint in 2024. A New Year launch promotion will allow Vivacom and Telemach customers to sample the full service over the holiday period.

Suzana Radošević, content management director at United Group, said the deal strengthens the group’s premium offer and underlines its strategy of aggregating major international streamers on EON for customers in Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia. SkyShowtime chief business officer Hristina Georgieva described the partnership as a key step in expanding the service’s reach in Southeast Europe, bringing its blockbuster films, flagship series and originals to new audiences in a single bundled offer.
