Pickbox has expanded its linear portfolio with the launch of a second pay-TV channel, Pickbox 2. The new service, which debuts today (1 December), sits alongside the existing Pickbox TV channel, which is being rebranded as Pickbox 1.
Marketed under the slogan “Less crime, more feeling”, Pickbox 2 is positioned as a lighter, feelgood complement to Pickbox 1, with a schedule built around emotions, everyday escape and relaxed viewing rather than crime and darker drama.
The line-up draws on established international formats including US and UK reality series, Latino telenovelas, home and lifestyle shows and popular cooking formats. The company says the channel will steer clear of heavy themes, news and conflict-driven formats in favour of comfort viewing.
“Pickbox 2 represents an important step in expanding the Pickbox brand, allowing us to bring even more entertainment to viewers across the region,” said Sanja Božić-Ljubičić, CEO and founder of Pickbox, adding that the channel offers operators a clearly positioned, commercial pay-TV addition to their line-ups.
Pickbox is focused on the Central and South-East European region. It is available in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
