Tet to bill HBO customers directly

November 26, 2025 13.14 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Latvian telco Tet has expanded its partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery to add HBO Max to its television offering, positioning the US streamer alongside Netflix and Tet’s own on-demand library within bundled TV packages.

Tet TV viewers can now access HBO Max via a dedicated app across smart TVs, computers, tablets, smartphones and other connected devices, with the streaming service included in three different Tet TV subscriptions and billed directly through Tet. The offer covers box office movies, documentaries and Emmy-winning series as well as HBO Max’s growing slate of local and international originals.

The move deepens a long-standing relationship between Tet and Warner Bros. Discovery. Nearly a decade ago, Tet became the first platform in the Baltics to bring premium HBO series such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us and The White Lotus to its customers, and earlier this year the operator introduced new Netflix bundles as it develops Tet TV+ into a super-aggregator for global and local streaming brands.

As part of the updated deal, Tet TV households will be able to watch a broad mix of US and European titles, including upcoming HBO Max premieres such as crime series The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder, the French drama The Seduction and the second season of comedy It’s Florida, Man, alongside returning franchises like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms from the Game of Thrones universe. Sports fans will also gain access to live coverage of the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics in February via the HBO Max standard plan.

Tet CEO Uldis Tatarčuks said the aim was to “combine the best high-quality and wide-ranging content in a modern, user-friendly and personalised way,” adding that the extended cooperation with Warner Bros. Discovery would let viewers continue to enjoy “old and long-loved” characters while discovering new series and films. Warner Bros. Discovery’s regional GM Jamie Cook said the company was “thrilled” to bring the “entire world of HBO Max” to more Latvian viewers through Tet, spanning iconic HBO premieres, box office hits, documentaries, animation and general entertainment.
