Sky Sports has agreed a new four-year deal with UEFA to become the exclusive UK broadcaster of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League from the 2027/28 season.
The partnership will see all 342 matches from the two competitions each season added to Sky’s portfolio, delivering European football on most nights of the week alongside existing rights to the Premier League, EFL, SPFL, WSL and Bundesliga.
Sky says English clubs’ recent success in the Europa League and Conference League has helped drive record audiences, including last season’s most-watched European fixture between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The broadcaster is pitching the deal as “football seven nights a week” during the European season, available via Sky Sports and streaming service NOW for non-Sky subscribers. Sky Sports+1
The agreement marks Sky’s return to live European club competitions in the UK for the first time since losing Champions League rights to BT (now TNT Sports) in 2015, and comes as Paramount+ prepares to take over the bulk of Champions League coverage in the UK from 2027, further reducing TNT’s UEFA portfolio.
Sky has also expanded its UEFA relationship in Italy, where Sky Italia holds exclusive rights to 185 of 203 Champions League matches and all 342 Europa League and Conference League games per season in the 2024–27 cycle.
