Channel 4 Sales has been appointed advertising sales partner in the UK and Ireland for the Great Network, owned by Narrative Entertainment, in a multi-year deal starting January 2026.
The agreement sees Channel 4 Sales take over from Sky Media and assume responsibility for spot and sponsorship inventory across the four Great linear channels – Great TV, Great Mystery, Great Action and Great Romance. The partnership adds further scale to Channel 4’s third-party portfolio, which already includes BBC Studios-owned UKTV.
Narrative says the Great Network now reaches 7.5 million monthly viewers across Freeview, Sky and Virgin Media, and has grown its share of commercial impacts year on year since 2021. Following a brand refresh and new channel line-up in September, Great recorded its highest-ever SOCI in October and has claimed more than 50% of the movies market for the last two months.
Channel 4 chief commercial officer Rak Patel said the deal underlined Channel 4 Sales’ position as a “stable, British-owned and brand-safe” sales house for other media owners. Narrative Entertainment managing director Paul Dunthorne said the tie-up would help the Great channels “capitalise” on their recent growth and deliver a better service to viewers and advertisers.
In the Republic of Ireland, Channel 4 Sales will work with Medialink, which will represent the Great Network in the Irish TV ad market.
