Canal+ has renewed its exclusive rights to 100% of UEFA club competitions in France, retaining all matches from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League for a further four seasons from 2027/28 to 2030/31.
The extension, agreed under UEFA’s new 2027–31 tender run with UC3 and Relevent, means Canal+ will remain the sole pay-TV home of European club football in France for at least the next six years, having already secured the 2024–27 cycle. TF1 is expected to continue as free-to-air partner for the Champions League final.
Maxime Saada, CEO of Canal+, said the renewal “further strengthens our position as the leading global broadcaster of UEFA club competitions” and underlined the group’s ambition to offer subscribers “the very best of European football” over the long term
Canal+ said subscribers will continue to receive full coverage of French and leading European clubs across its channels and app, with UEFA competitions integrated into flagship studio shows including Canal Champions Club and Canal Football Club.
The deal sits alongside a broad premium sports portfolio that already includes Premier League rights to 2028, Formula 1 and MotoGP to 2029, and Top 14 and Pro D2 rugby to 2032.
