Canadian communications technology company TELUS has broadened the availability of its aggregated entertainment service TELUS TV+ with the launch on Samsung and LG smart TVs.
The move, which is part of the company’s bring-your-own-device (BYOD) strategy, follows the rollout on Amazon Fire TV devices in April 2025, supported by its German technology partner 3 Screen Solutions (3SS).
TELUS TV+ brings together live television, subscription streaming services and free ad-supported streaming channels within a unified interface. Its premium Stream+ tier integrates Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+, while more than 50 FAST Channels are delivered through a partnership with Amagi. TELUS now provides linear and streaming entertainment services to more than 1.3 million households.
All newly launched smart TV applications are powered by 3SS’ 3Ready platform, designed to deliver a consistent user experience across devices and simplify content discovery. TELUS previously worked with 3SS to launch its Android TV Operator Tier set-top boxes, which included integrated Netflix browsing directly from the home screen.
“Our launch on Fire TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs demonstrates the continued scalability of the 3Ready platform. With TELUS TV+, we’re setting a new benchmark for super-aggregated entertainment, and 3SS remains a key partner in advancing our BYOD strategy,” said Tim Fell, Vice President, Network Technology & Services DevOps at TELUS.
Kai-Christian Borchers, Managing Director at 3SS, added: “TELUS is one of the most innovative telcos in the world. Through its commitment to delivering exceptional choice and standout services, TELUS continues to offer a highly engaging TV platform that helps defend against cord-cutting. We’re proud to support the expansion of TELUS TV+ with 3Ready across more devices and to help provide an outstanding viewing experience for TELUS customers.”
