Orion Telecom has begun shifting its residential customer base across to Telekom Srbija ahead of a full takeover of the company.
Earlier this year, Telekom Srbija signalled its intention to acquire Orion Telecom WiFi and its TV, broadband and fixed-line users.
From 1 December 2025, contracts held with Orion telekom doo Zemun and Orion telekom team doo Zemun are being reassigned to sister company Orion telekom wifi doo Zemun, which is registered with regulator RATEL as a public electronic communications operator for IPTV and media distribution.
Orion has told customers there will be no change to pricing, service scope or quality and that services will continue without interruption, with no need to sign new contracts. The transfer is being carried out under provisions allowing contracts to be moved to a related legal entity without individual consent.
The reorganisation is set to give the state-backed operator direct access to Orion’s subscriber base once approvals are in place.
