ITV and the Professional Darts Corporation have agreed a new three-year extension through 2028 that expands ITV’s live darts slate and keeps coverage free-to-air across ITV4 and ITVX.
The package includes the World Masters, UK Open, European Championship, Players Championship Finals, all World Series of Darts global events and the World Series Finals.
Reflecting the sport’s surge in popularity, ITV says 2025 has been its biggest year yet for darts, with more days of PDC action on air than ever before. From 2026 the PDC will also assume host production for ITV-broadcast events, promising a refreshed on-screen look while linear coverage on ITV4 continues with simulcast on ITVX.
ITV has been a long-term free-to-air partner for PDC events since returning to live darts in 2007, while pay-TV rights for the World Darts Championship, Premier League and other majors remain with Sky Sports under an extension running to 2030.
The renewal strengthens ITV Sport’s year-round schedule alongside recent extensions in horse racing and Formula E, and underscores the PDC’s dual-platform strategy of premium pay-TV alongside high-visibility free-to-air coverage.
