Warner Bros. Discovery will make every event from the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 available live on HBO Max and discovery+ across Europe and has unveiled the first images of the studios it will use to produce coverage for the Games.
Marking 100 days to go until the Opening Ceremony on 6 February 2026 at San Siro in Milan, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe says all 116 medal events will be streamed live on HBO Max and discovery+ in Europe, with linear coverage also carried by Eurosport across the continent and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland. The company holds Olympic rights in 49 European markets under a long-term deal with the IOC and European Broadcasting Union that runs through Brisbane 2032.
For the first time, viewers in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Austria will be able to watch every live Winter Olympic event inside HBO Max, with access included in all plans. HBO Max will also carry full live coverage in Spain and the rest of WBD’s European streaming footprint, while discovery+ will continue to offer Olympics coverage in a number of territories and via TNT Sports in the UK. WBD says the aim is to “maximise access” to the Games by putting live competition in front of existing entertainment subscribers.
Alongside Eurosport’s pan-European output, TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland will carry premium live coverage and shoulder programming, with streaming via discovery+.
WBD’s main on-site base for Milano Cortina 2026 will sit in the Nations Village in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the Dolomites. The temporary two-floor studio will act as the central production hub for Eurosport’s pan-European feed, and will also contain dedicated sets for local-language shows in Italy, Germany, Norway and Poland. Presenters will include former Olympic medallists and world champions.
The broadcaster plans to pair that physical build with an extended virtual studio, using live data and analysis tools to break down events.
