Sky and streaming service NOW will air Wicked: One Wonderful Night on 8 November – a two-hour musical event fronted by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande ahead of Universal’s cinema release of Wicked: For Good on 21 November.
Filmed at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the special will feature reimagined arrangements performed with a 37-piece orchestra led by musical director Stephen Oremus, plus dance numbers staged by choreographer Christopher Scott. Cast appearances include Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode, alongside director Jon M. Chu and composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, with additional surprise guests.
Sky says the programme will premiere clips from Wicked: For Good and debut two new Schwartz songs written for the film, alongside interviews, behind-the-scenes segments and live performances.
Wicked is currently available on Sky Cinema and NOW. Wicked: For Good will join Sky Cinema and NOW in 2026. The TV special is produced by Fulwell Entertainment, with Ben Winston and Raj Kapoor serving as executive producers.
