CNN rolls out $6.99 ‘All Access’ streaming tier in the US

October 28, 2025 12.02 Europe/London By Julian Clover

CNN has launched All Access, its new direct-to-consumer tier that combines live channels, on-demand video and full access to CNN.com in a single subscription across web, mobile and connected TV apps. The service is available from today in the United States.

All Access is priced at $6.99 a month (€6.50) or $69.99 a year (€65.10). CNN is also promoting an introductory annual offer of $41.99 (€39.10) for customers who sign up by 5 January 2026. Pay-TV customers with participating providers can authenticate to watch the live and on-demand video components at no extra cost, but will still need CNN’s separate Basic tier for unlimited article access. The Basic product, launched in October 2024, remains CNN’s text subscription; All Access adds premium video and live streams.

Positioned as a video-led offer, All Access includes multiple live feeds: CNN Stream (a live news channel that mirrors CNN US output and select CNN International programming), CNN Headlines (a curated FAST-style rolling news service), weekday daytime CNN International, CNN Originals (a FAST channel for CNN Original Series and CNN Films) and raw event/breaking news feeds. Alongside the live feeds, subscribers get same-day on-demand access to primetime shows, clips and explainers, plus new digital-first formats including 5 Things with Kate Bolduan; All There Is Live with Anderson Cooper; The Enten Scale with Harry Enten; and Devoted with Donie O’Sullivan.

The package also opens up more than 1,000 hours from CNN Original Series and CNN Films, including Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (seasons 1–12), Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, The Sixties through The 2000s, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper and feature documentaries such as Navalny and Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain.

CNN is positioning All Access as the “complete CNN experience”, spanning breaking news streams, snackable daily updates and long-form Originals under one subscription. Alex MacCallum, EVP, Digital Products and Services at CNN Worldwide, said the launch puts “all of CNN’s industry-leading journalism in one place… accessible on any device.”

The launch marks CNN’s most significant direct-to-consumer move since the short-lived CNN+ service was shut down in 2022 less than a month after launch, following the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Warner Bros. Discovery is using All Access as part of a wider digital subscription strategy as US cable TV subscriber numbers continue to fall.

At this stage, All Access is US-only. The tier integrates US and CNN International feeds for American subscribers, but live channel rights mean the service is geo-blocked outside the United States. CNN International’s linear channel continues to be distributed separately via pay-TV and streaming platforms in Europe and other regions, and CNN.com International remains free globally but without the full All Access catalogue.

Warner Bros. Discovery has not confirmed whether All Access will roll out in other markets or be folded into its Max streaming platform. Industry expectation is that the company will track early US uptake, including usage of CNN’s live feeds and Originals library, before making any international commitments.
