Canal+ Group has welcomed the inaugural publication of Médiamétrie’s Watch measurement, which unifies audience reporting for TV publishers and online video platforms in metropolitan France.
In September 2025, Canal+ says its channels attracted 54.4 million people across all screens and locations, with total consumption of 424 million hours over the month. Sister platform Dailymotion, which in this first release is reported on an at-home perimeter only, reached 22.9 million viewers.
Médiamétrie has designed Watch to provide a single currency view of TV and video usage. For Canal+, the figures cover both free-to-air and pay services across devices; for platforms such as Dailymotion the current scope is limited to in-home viewing.
Canal+ describes the results as evidence of the combined strength of its linear and digital ecosystems, pointing to wide reach for premium and innovative content available “on all screens”. Further iterations of Watch are expected to broaden platform coverage beyond the home, offering a fuller picture of cross-screen video consumption.
