Fondazione Milano Cortina has awarded exclusive continental European media rights for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), excluding Italy and the UK.
At least 25 EBU Members will carry extensive free-to-air coverage across platforms in their territories, with non-exclusive radio rights included. Coverage will be available via simulcast livestreams and on-demand, while Eurovision Sport will stream all six Paralympic winter sports for what the EBU calls its most comprehensive digital offer to date.
For the first time at a Paralympics, Warner Bros. Discovery will show daily highlights on its linear sports channels across Europe, complementing public service broadcasts.
Milano Cortina 2026 runs from 6–15 March 2026, marking the event’s 50th anniversary. Up to 655 Para athletes will compete in 79 medal events across Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross-country skiing, Para ice hockey, Para snowboard and wheelchair curling. The IPC says Beijing 2022 generated more than 1,900 hours of broadcast coverage, underscoring rising interest in Para sport.
Broadcasters already committed include ORF (Austria), RTBF/VRT (Belgium), HRT (Croatia), CT (Czechia), DR (Denmark), Yle (Finland), France Télévisions (France), GPB (Georgia), ARD/ZDF (Germany), ERT (Greece), RÚV (Iceland), LSM (Latvia), LRT (Lithuania), NOS (Netherlands), NRK (Norway), TVP (Poland), STVR (Slovakia), RTVS (Slovenia), RTVE (Spain), SVT (Sweden), SRG SSR (Switzerland), TRT (Türkiye) and Suspilne Ukraine.
