Netflix has agreed a distribution deal with Spotify to bring a slate of Spotify Studios and The Ringer video podcasts to the streaming platform from early 2026, starting in the United States and expanding to other markets later.
Titles highlighted include The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Rewatchables, Dissect and Conspiracy Theories; The Joe Rogan Experience is not part of the package.
The companies are positioning the partnership as a way to extend creator reach on Netflix while giving Netflix subscribers another non-scripted format alongside films, series and live events. Financial terms were not disclosed.
According to Netflix, the initial tranche comprises 16 series, with sports-heavy inventory via The Ringer (NFL, NBA, Fantasy Football, F1) alongside pop culture and true-crime franchises.
Netflix has been widening its live and unscripted slate, including two NFL Christmas Day games on 25 December 2025, as it leans into broader event programming and growing its advertising market.
Spotify, meanwhile, continues to push video within its podcast strategy by securing premium distribution beyond YouTube, with embedded host-read ads expected to carry over on Netflix versions.
Both firms say further markets will follow the US rollout once the 2026 launch is under way.
