Thomson Smart TVs will ship with a dedicated button on the remote following a new pan-European deal.
The Canal+ App will come pre-installed on new Thomson Smart TVs – including the latest Powered by TiVo models – in France, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium and Romania.
The dedicated Canal+ button will also be added to all Thomson TV remotes in those countries, giving direct, one-press access to the app from first power-on. Local Canal+ group services – Skylink, FOCUS+, TV Vlaanderen and Télésat – will also be pre-loaded where applicable.

The companies will back the rollout with co-branded packaging and retail/online promotions. Canal+ said the partnership supports wider distribution of its apps to its near 40 million global subscribers.
