Freely adds 10 more streaming channels as platform momentum builds

October 14, 2025 16.55 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Everyone TV has announced a fresh round of partner channels for Freely, the free streaming platform backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Unveiled at MIPCOM in Cannes, the 2026 line-up will add 10 IP-delivered live channels, including BLAZE (Hearst Networks), Bloomberg TV+, Talking Pictures TV’s Movie Channel, Gemporia and a set of Local TV services. AMC Networks International UK will contribute five brands: TRUE CRIME UK, Evidence of Evil, Bloodline Detectives, Love After Lock Up and AMC Reality.

The update follows Channel 4’s recent launch of 4Reality, 4Homes and 4Life as Freely-exclusive streaming channels, with further additions from ITV and Channel 5 expected.

Everyone TV says Freely now offers more than 70 live channels over Wi-Fi alongside a broad on-demand line-up, and has been independently forecast to become the UK’s largest TV device platform within five years. Earlier this year the service passed 500,000 weekly users and is pre-loaded on sets from Hisense, Bush, Toshiba, Panasonic, Sharp, TCL, Amazon Fire TV and Metz, with plug-in devices planned.

New research from Oliver & Ohlbaum Associates, published alongside the partner news, reports that live free-to-air channels such as U&Dave, Legend and BLAZE score highest with viewers for making them feel “relaxed” and “entertained”, reinforcing demand for lean-back experiences.

Everyone TV chief executive Jonathan Thompson said the new partners “mark another step forward for Freely as we scale up the platform for viewers and partners alike,” pointing to growing momentum into 2026.
