Didomi and Sibbo join forces to strengthen privacy in HbbTV and Connected TV

October 14, 2025 22.04 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

Didomi, a global specialist in consent and preference management, has entered a strategic alliance with Sibbo, a consultancy specialising in programmatic advertising and digital privacy, to enhance privacy solutions for HbbTV and Connected TV across Spain, Italy and Latin America.

The partnership aims to accelerate the rollout of standardised consent and data-protection tools for broadcasters and advertisers as HbbTV adoption continues to rise across Europe and Latin America.

“This alliance marks a decisive step in our expansion strategy across media and connected advertising,” said Sergio Gómez, Country Manager Iberia & LatAm at Didomi. “By combining Didomi’s technology with Sibbo’s HbbTV expertise and local market presence, we provide a comprehensive solution that unites compliance, performance and user trust.”

Sibbo has pioneered a dedicated Consent Management Platform (CMP) for HbbTV and Connected TV, already used by leading broadcasters in Spain and Latin America. The company’s experience in implementing privacy-compliant ad and data solutions makes it a key partner for Didomi’s regional growth.

“With Didomi, we bring together the most advanced privacy technology with our connected TV expertise,” added Agustín Pérez Buendía, CEO of Sibbo. “Together we will help broadcasters and media platforms comply with regulations without slowing their innovation in hybrid TV advertising.”

The alliance follows Didomi’s acquisition of Sourcepoint and investment from Marlin Equity Partners, strengthening its international presence and advancing its technology roadmap focused on server-side consent management and AI-driven privacy tools for the media ecosystem.

Founded over a decade ago, Sibbo operates through its Sibbo Consulting and Sibbo Tech Hub units, offering tailored ad-tech and monetisation solutions.

Didomi, active in more than 35 countries with over 2,500 clients, helps organisations turn privacy into a strategic asset through transparent consent and preference management across digital and hybrid TV environments.
