Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) has signed an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to roll out cloud-managed whole-home Wi-Fi mesh across European markets.
The deal combines Comcast’s cloud-based Wi-Fi Mesh Platform — with agents for gateways and extenders plus hosted orchestration and public APIs — with DT’s customer platforms and apps. The system targets legacy and modern CPE, promising real-time optimisation such as band steering and dynamic channel selection, along with self-optimising coverage that adapts to device use and home layouts.
The partnership includes a long-term services model for software updates, release management and telemetry, aiming to speed time-to-market while reducing reliance on legacy vendor stacks.
DT’s Pedro Bandeira said the move supports the operator’s push for future-ready broadband, while Comcast/Sky product chief Fraser Stirling framed it as the next stage of their European relationship, focused on scalable, reliable and intelligent home connectivity.
