ITV Studios has partnered with British space media company Sen to launch Space Live, a continuous 4K live stream from orbit that will be available to ITVX users across the UK from 15 October.
The channel will deliver real-time Ultra HD footage from the International Space Station using Sen’s proprietary SpaceTV-1 camera system, mounted on the European Space Agency’s Columbus module. Viewers will see live cinematic perspectives of Earth, from sweeping horizons to detailed imagery covering more than 240 kilometres of terrain.
Charles Black, Founder and CEO of Sen, said: “Sen was founded to democratise space through video. Partnering with ITV Studios brings our vision to life – giving millions of people the chance to see Earth exactly as astronauts see it.”
The collaboration was developed by Zoo 55, ITV Studios’ digital content label, and marks a push into immersive, always-on streaming formats.
ITV Studios said the project places both companies at the forefront of streaming innovation, combining advanced imaging technology with real-time storytelling.
Space Live will also launch on Samsung TV Plus and additional global streaming platforms, with more distribution partners expected to follow.
