
The HbbTV Association has announced the jury for this year’s HbbTV Awards, which will be presented during the HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2025 in Istanbul on 12 November.
Among the eight judges are Ophélie Boucaud of Dataxis, William Cooper of informitv, Merve Eraslanoğlu of TVekstra, Vincent Grivet of the HbbTV Association, Matthew Huntington of Huntington Digital Consultants, Atila Madakbas of Admongrel, Annamaria Recchia of Eutelsat, and Alex Russell of Everyone TV.
Chairman Vincent Grivet said the line-up “reflects the key role of the HbbTV specifications and the innovative services they enable for leading market players in Europe and worldwide.”
The 2025 Awards will recognise excellence across six categories including Best Advertising Innovation, Best Tool or Product for HbbTV Service Development, Best Technology Innovation, and Best Use of HbbTV for Content Discovery, alongside an Accessibility award and a special Newcomer of the Year prize.
Entries are open until 10 October, with finalists due to be announced by the end of the month. The event, co-hosted by Turkish addressable TV specialist TVekstra, marks the eighth edition of the annual competition.
