Freely launches new TV campaign highlighting UK content

October 2, 2025 12.46 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Everyone TV has launched a new advertising campaign for Freely, the broadband-delivered free-to-air service backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

The 30-second spot, titled This, That., focuses on the breadth of British content available on Freely, emphasising that 97% of the UK’s most-watched shows are offered on the platform. The creative features homegrown programming and talent, underlining Freely’s positioning as the single home for the best of free British TV.

It’s familiar territory previously occupied by Freely’s predecessors Freeview and Freesat.

The new campaign follows Set Yourself Freely, the brand’s launch activity in 2024, which featured experiential marketing such as branded taxis and a cross-platform push across TV, VOD, out-of-home and digital.

Freely said the latest campaign will run across TV and digital, building awareness of the service’s ease of use and availability on new smart TVs.

Launched in April 2024, Freely combines live and on-demand free-to-air content delivered over broadband, positioning as the streaming-age successor to DTT platform Freeview.
