The DVB Project has signed a liaison agreement with Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP), strengthening the long-standing collaboration between the two organisations.
The agreement was signed during IBC2025 by DVB Chair Remo Vogel and Nicole Ludwig, Director of Business Development & Public Relations at DTVP.
Although DTVP was already a DVB Member, the liaison agreement creates a framework for closer cooperation and structured exchange between the two organisations and their memberships.
The collaboration is particularly relevant around the ongoing work around DVB-I, which defines the framework for discovering and delivering television services over broadband and broadcast networks.
Germany has played a pioneering role in deployment and testing of DVB-I. DTVP will now also support joint efforts in other important areas, including accessibility, ensuring that new services and technologies are available to all audiences.
“I am pleased to see DVB and DTVP working even more closely together,” said Remo Vogel. “In particular, I believe that our shared focus on accessibility will bring meaningful benefits to viewers, while also helping accelerate innovation across Europe.”
The enhanced cooperation aims to accelerate the introduction of DVB standards and technologies in Germany and across Europe, providing benefits for all stakeholders in the media value chain.
