German streaming service waipu.tv has added three new channels to its portfolio: Himmlisches Kino, DEFA TV and Retro TV.
All three are available immediately to waipu.tv customers, with their content also accessible via the on-demand library waiputhek.
DEFA TV brings the cinematic heritage of the former East Germany to the screen. The channel showcases feature films, documentaries, animated productions and fairytales produced over more than four decades. Iconic titles include Die Legende von Paul und Paula, Jakob der Lügner and Das kalte Herz.
Himmlisches Kino aims to deliver feel-good viewing with touching stories and family-friendly entertainment. Among its line-up are films such as The Girl Who Believes in Miracles, targeting audiences who value emotional depth.
Retro TV focuses on nostalgia, reviving TV classics and childhood favourites from several decades of German broadcasting. The schedule features well-known films and series designed to evoke memories of earlier viewing experiences.
