Ligue1+ surpasses one million subscriber milestone

September 16, 2025 12.55 Europe/London By Julian Clover

LFP Media has announced its streaming platform Ligue 1+ has exceeded one million subscribers, achieving the target initially set for the entire 2025/2026 season within the first month of competition.

As of 14 September, Ligue 1+ recorded 1.026 million subscribers.

The milestone comes despite the absence of Canal+ as a broadcast partner, though Ligue1+ benefits from distribution on DAZN, Prime Video, RMC Sport, Molotov, Orange, Free, SFR, and Bouygues Telecom. There is also DTC distribution on Samsung, LG, Google, Apple and FireTV.

Bundled offerings and targeted marketing campaigns have boosted the market reach of Ligue 1+. 72% of current subscribers have committed for the duration of the season.

In a statement, LFP media said the total could be attributed to strong public engagement with the French Ligue 1 championship and its clubs and a compelling editorial experience curated with club support.

Launched on August 15, the Ligue 1+ channel will broadcast the ten biggest matches of the season, eight live matches each matchday from Friday to Sunday, along with a major free-to-air highlights show on Sunday evening. The ninth match screened live by beIN Sports will be time-delayed.

Ligue1+ is available at €14.99/month. Those under the age of 16 will be able to receive the channel at €9.99/month, though restricted to mobiles, tablets and computers.
