Whale TV has debuted a new on demand service on Whale TV+ and is at the same time adding its free streaming service to any web browser worldwide.
The on-demand library features thousands of hours of entertainment across various categories. Already available on Whale TV, Android TV, Google TV, and Fire TV devices.
It means that WhaleTV is available on virtually any screen.
Viewers can access 300+ live TV channels across news, sports, TV series, movies and music, plus a VOD library with over 4,000 hours of entertainment at launch. Support is available for multiple languages including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, and Korean.
“Our goal is to continuously expand the Whale TV+ entertainment offering while driving engagement across all platforms,” said Teresa Lopez, VP of Whale TV+. “The addition of on-demand TV provides our viewers with even more choice. Together with premium channels like Red Bull TV and a growing library of movies and series, Whale TV+ is becoming an even more compelling destination for free entertainment.”
Whale TV says that in its last quarter, Whale TV+ enjoyed a 35% increase in monthly active users, 55% more return visitors, and a 70% jump in total streaming hours.
The service has deep integration within the Whale TV OS – including home screen placement and a dedicated Free TV Zone. There are currently 44 million monthly active Whale TVs.
By extending availability online and launching its first VOD offering, Whale TV aims to reach even more consumers worldwide and establish Whale TV+ as a destination for free, premium entertainment.
