TiVo OS expands to 40+ countries

September 3, 2025 13.37 Europe/London By Julian Clover

TiVo Platform Technologies has announced a series of significant milestones for its media platform.

One year after launch, the TiVo One cross-screen advertising platform has reached more than 4 million monthly active users. The TiVo OS, which powers smart TVs, is now adopted by numerous television brands and is available to consumers in over 40 countries. Notably, adoption in the UK has been robust, with TiVo-powered smart TVs stocked at four of the country’s top five consumer electronics retailers.

TiVo OS maintains its commitment to delivering a content-first experience. It currently provides access to more than 385 local and regional channels tailored to European viewers. Recent feature enhancements offer users additional personalisation options and deeper engagement opportunities, while enabling innovative solutions for advertisers.

Geir Skaaden, EVP and Chief Product and Services Officer at parent company Xperi, said: “The progress we are witnessing across OEMs, content providers, and retail partners affirms the effectiveness of our content-focused, user-centric strategy for delivering high-quality entertainment experiences while unlocking valuable monetisation opportunities for advertisers.”

Key updates include:

  • Introduction of TiVo One home page video ad units, designed to bring campaigns and promotions to life and encourage user interaction.
  • Enhanced content discovery, including expanded application presence on the home screen and a partner picks carousel that delivers customised streaming recommendations.
  • Support for DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X immersive audio, providing premium sound quality and an out-of-the-box solution for manufacturers, resulting in a superior viewing experience.
