Nanocosmos expands partner programme with Media over QUIC rollout

September 2, 2025 10.25 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German streaming technology provider nanocosmos is extending its nanoStream partner programme to incorporate Media over QUIC (MOQ), a next-generation protocol designed to deliver broadcast-grade, ultra-low latency video streaming at global scale.

The Berlin-based company will showcase its MOQ-powered platform at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, where it is launching a global content delivery network (CDN) built on the new standard. MOQ combines QUIC, WebTransport and HTTP/3 to enable end-to-end latencies of under 500 milliseconds while maintaining reliability even on unstable networks.

“The nanoStream Ready programme is about preparing the industry for MOQ – the superior technology that defines the future of streaming,” said Oliver Lietz, CEO of nanocosmos. “With nanocosmos’ MOQ deployment, partners can deliver at global scale with sub-second latency and broadcast-grade reliability. We invite technology providers to join now and lead this transition with us.”

Launched in 2023, the nanoStream Ready programme certifies third-party solutions that integrate with nanocosmos’ interactive live streaming platform. Certified partners span the production and contribution chain, from camera specialists BirdDog, PTZOptics and QuickLink, to encoder and AV-over-IP providers such as Osprey Video, Teradek, Matrox and Kiloview. The latest addition is Magewell, known for capture, conversion and streaming solutions.

According to nanocosmos, nanoStream Ready gives partners “a clear mark of trust because it validates that their solutions have been tested and proven to integrate seamlessly with the nanocosmos platform. Certification signals to customers that these products are MOQ-ready, capable of supporting sub-second latency and broadcast-grade reliability.”

At IBC 2025, the company will present its next-generation real-time streaming platform and the extended partner ecosystem in hall 5 at booth A34 from 12-15 September.

Founded in 1998, nanocosmos has over 25 years of experience in live streaming technologies. Its flagship end-to-end platform, nanoStream, is used in sectors ranging from iGaming and live auctions to corporate communications and education.
