Hope Media Europe has launched Jplus, a new streaming service focusing on values, culture and faith, aiming to bring “stories that matter” to a worldwide audience.
The free platform offers documentaries, feature films, short films and podcasts designed to explore some of life’s biggest questions through authentic storytelling. Unlike many commercial streaming services, Jplus highlights meaning and dialogue alongside creativity.
“Jplus is more than streaming – it is a global community, in which cultures, values and faith come together,” stressed the project team at Hope Media Europe. “We believe in the power of stories to change lives, and we want to share that with the world.”
At launch, Jplus provides more than 1,200 minutes of content from every continent, available free of charge and without registration. The catalogue is set to grow steadily, with an app and multilingual content due to follow.
Hope Media said the new service is intended to offer viewers both encouragement and challenge. Themes include identity, resilience, family, spirituality and society, with programming ranging from biographies of athletes and artists to explorations of cultural and social issues.
The organisation underlined that Jplus aims to connect entertainment with purpose. “Every production should not only inspire and move, but also create space for dialogue, reflection and genuine encounters,” the project team added.
Jplus is operated by Hope Media Europe, a Christian media centre based in Alsbach-Hähnlein, Germany. Its activities also include Hope TV, podcasts, audio books and media services. The centre is part of the international Hope Channel network, founded in 2003 in the United States and now active through more than 87 media hubs worldwide.
Hope Media’s stated mission is to “open up new perspectives for a fulfilling, happy and hopeful life, promote personal growth and convey Christian values”. The organisation says it invites people “to get to know the Bible and the Christian faith”, while reaching out to audiences regardless of nationality, culture, language, gender or beliefs.
