Great! Free Christmas Movie Channel is set to launch on Sky, Freeview, Virgin, Freesat on September 4.
The free-to-air channel will replace Great! Romance during the holiday period and is available on its usual platforms, as well as via streaming platforms including Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels2.
Launching at 8:00am on September 4, the channel kicks off with the 2023 film Laughing All the Way and will feature a slate of 172 Christmas movies leading up to December 25. Highlights include Christmas in the Caribbean starring Liz Hurley, Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays with Priscilla Presley, and Christmas at Plumhill Manor, an exclusive title produced by the channel’s parent company, Narrative Entertainment.
Steve Hornsey, VP of Movies and Entertainment at Narrative, noted the channel’s growing popularity: “Our research suggests millions of Brits can’t wait to get into the festive spirit early, and GREAT! Christmas is the perfect place for them”.
The channel’s programming leans heavily into feel-good, romantic, and family-friendly titles, including Hallmark-style classics and lesser-known gems. Viewers can expect up to 21 hours of seasonal content daily, with no subscription required.
GREAT! Christmas will run until January 6, 2026, after which Great! Romance will resume its regular schedule.
