Zixi and OKAST partner for global FAST channel delivery

August 27, 2025 08.51 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Zixi has partnered with French media distribution platform OKAST to enable scalable delivery of live FAST channels to over 80 platforms worldwide.

The collaboration is part of Zixi’s newly launched Global Partner Programme, aimed at accelerating innovation and expanding its ecosystem of media technology partners.

OKAST, which powers more than 180 Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) and linear channels across Europe, Latin America, and beyond, selected Zixi to upgrade its infrastructure in response to growing global demand for premium streaming content. By integrating Zixi’s Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP) and ZEN Master control plane, OKAST has significantly improved its operational reliability, visibility, and cost-efficiency.

“We were reaching the limits of what our previous setup could support,” said Cédric Monnier, CEO and Co-founder of OKAST. “Zixi gives us control, visibility, and the ability to scale. It’s a foundational part of our infrastructure moving forward.”

The partnership also supports OKAST’s role in the ASAP4EU consortium, a European Commission–funded initiative focused on next-generation streaming and monetization workflows.

Before adopting Zixi, OKAST faced mounting challenges with latency, blackouts, and support overhead. The new solution allows the company to deliver high-quality live streams to a wide range of partners—from legacy broadcasters in Europe to OTT platforms in Latin America—without re-architecting its delivery model.

Zixi’s ZEN Master has streamlined operations by providing centralised, real-time monitoring and orchestration across OKAST’s channel portfolio, reducing support ticket volume and eliminating manual workarounds.

The switch has also delivered measurable ROI. OKAST’s previous cloud-based infrastructure had become cost-prohibitive at scale, while Zixi’s platform offers improved performance at lower operational costs.

“Our previous stack worked for a handful of channels, but not for 100-plus,” Monnier added. “Zixi provides better reliability at a lower cost. It enables us to grow sustainably.”

As part of the Zixi Enabled Network Partner Programme, OKAST gains access to advanced enablement resources, joint marketing opportunities, and integrated support services. The program is designed to help partners build robust, future-proof video delivery workflows.

“With the global demand for FAST and live content delivery scaling rapidly, companies like OKAST need flexible, intelligent infrastructure to stay ahead,” said Jonathan Low, VP Channel Sales and Partnerships at Zixi. “This partnership exemplifies how Zixi can accelerate innovation and global reach.”

With expansion plans targeting APAC and Latin America, OKAST sees Zixi as a strategic enabler for its next phase of growth—delivering more channels, to more geographies, with greater efficiency than ever before.
