TV streaming provider Zattoo is expanding its offering in German-speaking Europe with the addition of BBC News and FAST Channel Terragonia.
A Zattoo spokesperson confirmed the addition of the two new channels to Broadband TV News.
BBC News is making its debut in Zattoo’s offering for viewers in Germany. The 24/7 English-language channel provides rolling coverage of global events, live reports and in-depth analysis from the BBC’s international network of correspondents. On Zattoo, the service is available in HD resolution for all users, while subscribers to the Ultimate package can watch BBC News in Full HD quality.
The second newcomer, Terragonia, is joining the Zattoo line-up in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Available in HD for all customers, the channel focuses on nature and wildlife documentaries, covering habitats from jungle to ocean. It is Zattoo’s second wildlife-focused service alongside Terra Mater Wild and is provided as a free, advertising-supported FAST Channel.
The addition of the two channels underlines Zattoo’s strategy of diversifying its programming across genres, from factual entertainment to international news, while tailoring availability and technical quality to its subscription tiers.
